Seafront hotel, pleasant staff. Visited several times over the years for dinners, weddings, wakes. Parking. Easy walk to town.
Booked 2 rooms late in the afternoon. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and had a great view of the seaside. Had dinner here and the lamb chops were so good! Within walking distance of the city centre and train station. Lovely place and would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is right next to the sea with great views up and down the promenade. Breakfast was nice. The staff were extremely freindly, especially Trixy, Lisa and Gwen. They were also hospitable and knowledgeable.Hotel is also close to the town and pier
Stayed here in a group of 3. The staff went above and beyond. Very kind. We used all the facilities and it was truly amazing . The food was absolutely delicious. Had breakfast in the morning and that was amazing too. Had a wonderful stay would definitely recommend it . Thank you to everyone for making our stay so wonderful.
I was visiting Aberystwyth to see some family who reside there. I booked Gwesty'r as it had excellent reviews and it did not disappoint. On arrival, check in was straight forward as you input the required details in advance via a link. After some confusion of where our room was located (the hotel comprised of 3 separate buildings), we managed to settle it. The room was a nice size and at the back so it was lovely and quiet. It was a little outdated, the carpet had stains on it (which I assume is why they place people who have dogs; in them), and some parts were loose in the bathroom. The bed was very comfy and we both slept soundly with no disturbance whatsoever. The bar was nice, staff was friendly and the beer was a good price. The breakfast was delicious, it was freshly cooked and there was copious amounts of everything to ensure they could cater to all needs. It was a stunning day and the hotel is located on the promenade which provided beautiful views. I'd only say that it was a tad expensive for one night £130.50, £10 each for a breakfast, plus the £15 for the dog, so couldn't have stayed more than one night. Overall, I would recommend and we would stay there again.
Stayed for 2 nights as part of a wedding party and I genuinely cannot fault the hotel. Located right on the waterfront with its own dedicated off street parking. The sea view rooms to the front of the building you can leave the windows open and listen to the waves as they lap against the shore. We stayed in the silver room and it had everything you could need for a short break away and even included a jacuzzi and all for a very reasonable rate per night. The staff were lovely to a fault and the food was all well cooked, if not overly fancy, that added to the charm. Will definetly return.
Just a lovely hotel, was very lucky to find a room for three and it was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful with advice. We arrived late in the evening but it wasn't a problem, could take a walk along the sea front and return to the room to have some lovely hot chocolate. I would definitely book a room at Gwesty'r Marine Hotel and Spa again. Trying to find parking was a bit tricky to find but that's the only thing I would say was a hassle.
I spent 12 days at the Marine Hotel in Aberystwyth, in a front bedroom, relishing in the fantastic view of the shoreline, thoroughly enjoying the therapeutic, rhythmic sound of the tide ebbing and flowing each day. The receptionists, the kitchen staff, and Kath and all her cleaning crew were exceptional. The room was always spotless, the bed extremely comfortable, and the food delicious with choice galore. With my being disabled, I often require extra help, and this was happily and patiently given on all occasions, even to the point of breakfast being brought to my bed on days when I couldn't make it downstairs. My mobility scooter was also kindly accomodated. I will definitely be returning, and highly recommend the Marine Hotel in Aberystwyth. Thank you to all those who made my holiday complete. I look forward to seeing you all next year.
